Hi

Can anyone tell me, or point me in the right direction, as to what is happening with the UI/HMI functionality that was provided by FBRT?

Thanks

John

Hi,

we are still in the process of how we can provide non Eclipse Project content as part of an Eclipse project's release. As this will take some time and we do not want to further delay 1.9.0 we decided that in 1.9.0 this content will not be included. We hope that it will still again be there in hopefully even in an improved form in 1.10.0

However this does not mean that you can not use it in your projects. The FBRT support as 4diac functionality is the same as in previous 4diac versions. So you can open your old projects in 1.9.0 and use FBRT there. You can also copy the FBRT fbs and the FBRT (follwing the FBRT license agreement) from old projects into 1.9.0 and use it there.

I hope this clarifies the situation.
Alois

I had some problems too that I reported here:

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=530178

is this the same issue you're having?

Thanks for your kind words. Great to hear that!

We are also experimenting with other HMI technologies (e.g., HTML5 connected via MQTT or OPC UA). Maybe this is even better suiting you.

If I can give you a suggestion, like FORTE implements OPC_UA you can use https://nodered.org/ with https://github.com/node-red/node-red-dashboard and https://www.npmjs.com/package/node-red-contrib-opcua.
With this tools you can create good HMIs.
