Report Client Javascript function not found after deployment in Runtime environment [message #1780227]

Hello,
I have created a BIRT report (being an iWidget) in RTC 5.02 using a client side Javascript function to be executed on the onclick button click.
In RTC development environment it is perfectly working. After deploying it, the report is perfectly shown in the iWidget. But clicking on the button results in a "ReferenceError: hiderows is not defined" , where hiderows is my Javascript function being executed on the onClick event.
I tried to have this "hiderows()" function being defined at several places (even having this function added as a separate JS resource during deployment), but obviously I did not pick the right one.
Any hints/tipps/working samples you can share what might be wrong?
