Hi all,

LDT is a mature project. Of course it is no bug free, but it is usable.

Unfortunately, the team behind LDT vaporized itself. The company which held up it, does not affect any resource on it anymore.

I personally try to spend few time to continue to fix small bug and contribute LDT to eclipse simultaneous release. But this is not so good for the project especially as I don't use it anymore. (I even don't code in Lua anymore)

What does it means ? LDT works but it will not evolve anymore, unless community (companies or users which like to use it) begins to contribute or maybe even take the lead on this project.

I would like to contribute Simon.

I have coded a lot in lua and i think I have become very knowledgeable on the subject in a lot of things regarding lua.
Pls let me know if such would be a good idea ...

What is the status of the project? Is it still in need of contributors? I'm really interested in this project as it matches other projects that I work on.

Sry for the delay response but I missed your post.
There is no backlog but we have a bugzilla : https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/buglist.cgi?component=LuaDevelopmentTools&product=LDT&resolution=---

Maybe a good thing to help contribution could be to move to github. I will see, if I found time to do that ...

Hello everyone!

I was using eclipse for 1.5 years and the whole platform seems to degrade, more and more bugs I face each release. I think that LSP (language server protocol) is the future for this project. This will allow for this project to be used in IDEA, vscode, atom and of course Eclipse.

I am rather bad at coding, but I would be interested in contributing. This is literally the only thing that I have found acceptable for lua and I do not want this project to die out

I haven't imported the issues or made any changes yet, but I did create a repo for ldt on my gitlab: https://gitlab.com/FrostRanger/ldt_fork

My time is limited nowadays, but I would still like to contribute to this project. I would love it if someone currently involved would reach out but I shall proceed (albeit slowly) regardless since, again, I do depend on this plugin for my workflow

Also, what needs to be done to make ldt compatible with future eclipse releases? I did see the links to the developer's info but it seemed a bit confusing
