Hi, so I'm trying to get eclipse, and I have already installed Java 1.8 but now I keep getting an error message when I install eclipse oxygen for both Java and C/C++.
The bar reaches the end and then it just fails. The error log states:
ERROR: org.eclipse.equinox.p2.engine code=4

The whole file is attached in case you need it.

Sometimes virus scanners on Windows will lock *.zip/*.jar files the moment they're downloaded into the file system, preventing them from being moved causing problems just like the one you should. I assume the file C:\Users\HP\.p2\pool\plugins\org.apache.lucene.analyzers-smartcn_6.1.0.v20161115-1612.jar is not present in the file system. Are there any files in the C:\Users\HP\.p2\org.eclipse.equinox.p2.repository\cache\downloading folder?

Thank you for getting back to me so fast!
You are correct, the file org.apache.lucene.analyzers-common_6.1.0.v20161115-1612 isn't in that file system. Although, a similar file, org.apache.lucene.analyzers-common_6.1.0.v20161115-1612.jar, is present.
And no, there are no files in the downloading folder. Should there be?

Sometimes the files get "stuck" in the downloading folder, so that seems not to be the case. It fails exactly the same what each time you try?

Alright so I fixed the problem. Apparently the file hadn't downloaded at all. So what you had to do was delete all eclipse folders (.p2, .eclipse and eclispe) and then with a good internet connection reinstall the IDE you want.
Thank you for you help! I wouldn't have realized I was missing files without you.
