When is the license url for a feature actually used?

It's not displayed when installing the feature, the
http://help.eclipse.org/oxygen/index.jsp?topic=%2Forg.eclipse.platform.doc.isv%2Freference%2Fmisc%2Ffeature_manifest.html says
"Note, that the "content" of this URL is not what is presented as the click-through license during installation processing. The click-through license is the actual value of the <license> element"

Is this for future use?

I think that's what's used when you do Help -> About Eclipse... -> Installation Details -> "Features" tab, select a feature, and hit the License button. For me that opens a browser with the full license details of each feature.

Ah, I see.

We don't have a Features tab in our RCP app, so that's why I couldn't find it.

Thanks
