Force.com IDE Plug-in receives error when creating new Project in Eclipse [message #1775181]

After installing Force.com plug-in, I immediately receive an error when trying to create a project:

The selected wizard could not be started.
Plug-in com.salesforce.ide.ui was unable to load class com.salesforce.ide.ui.wizards.project.ProjectCreateWizard.
An error occurred while automatically activating bundle com.salesforce.ide.ui (961).

If anyone was able to help me resolve this i'd be extremely appreciative. Thank you!

Hi, Any luck getting to the bottom of this? I too have same issue. Tried installing Mars 2 for Java & Java EE. Still no luck. I'm running Mac OS 10.12.6. Thanks.
