Excuse me,

I am an undergraduate student in Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. Currently, i am working in a project that turns raspberry pi into plc. I use that "plc" for homeautomation in openpowerlink communication.

I am wondering if raspberry pi 2 is still reliable for that project ? Or should i move to raspberry pi 3 because it has more powerful processor ?
is there any consequence if i still use raspberry pi 2 ?

Thanks.

FORTE has been designed to support a wide variety of processors. We've used FORTE already on much less powerful processors then raspi 2. However the processor requirements strongly depend on your application's needs. Nonetheless I think you can definitely start with your raspi 2 and do first experiments. From my experience it should have more then enough power for home automation.
