Hi,

I am using Oxygen with the latest Papyrus and starting to model with Block diagrams. However, when I link two blocks together it gives member names with an _1 added to each name. Why is this happening and how do I get it to use the actual names of the blocks that it connects instead?

Thanks,

James

Hi,

I can't reproduce the behavior.
Can you precise your platform and use case?
Can you also share a problematic model?

Regards,
Benoît

I create a directed composition between two blocks in a papyrus block diagram. In the picture, I have renamed all the ends except the new one which I call test. I also find that the datatypes that I put in a separate block diagram are copied across to the first block diagram, for some reason.

The Eclipse Modeling Tool is Version: Oxygen Release (4.7.0)
Build id: 20170620-1800

The Papyrus modeling tool is associated with feature plug-ins that are installed. The feature name is Papyrus UML Modeller 3.0.0.201706140736 and the plug in details are as follows:

Provider; Plug-in Name; version; Plug-in id
Eclipse Modeling Project; Editors for the Eclipse Project; 2.0.0.201706140736; org.eclipse.papyrus.eclipse.project.editors

Eclipse Orbit; Guava: Google Core Libraries for Java; 21.0.0.v20170206-1425; com.google.guava.

Eclipse Modeling Project; Papyrus UML Modeller; 2.0.0.201706140736; org.eclipse.papyrus.sdk

I attache the configuration and error log dumps as text files. I installed too many different extensions and don't need most of them but I like the layout with all the sysml palettes being available which I have not been able to reproduce on different builds of eclipse.

thanks!
