| Oxygen update errors: "No repository found" [message #1768214] |

For Eclipse Oxygen 64-bit on Windows 7 64-bit.
Oxygen has been working fine including having been able to cleanly update software at least once before.
But as of yesterday I was unable to complete a software update in response to a notification from Oxygen that updates were available. The update process halts with the following errors:
An error occurred while collecting items to be installed
session context was:(profile=DEclipseOXYGEN_eclipse, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Collect, operand=, action=).

Any ideas what I can do to get update working again?

I initially tried to tweak the URL by using Help > Install New Software > Manage. The error remained.
So what I ended up doing was using Help > Install New Software to search for buildship, then in Install New Software completely deleting all references to it. Next I used Eclipse Marketplace to reinstall Gradle from scratch. Even though I don't really need Gradle. That ended up putting the following URL in place:
http://download.eclipse.org/buildship/updates/e47/releases/2.x
Which seems to contradict what you provided. Which I in turn interpret as Eclipse update is too often broken. And too often requires one to be willing and able to go spelunking to solve its deficiencies. Regardless, I seem to have gotten it to work -- for now...
