hello,

i am planning to take an intro to JAVA course in september for a master's program (it is one course, but not a concentration), and it seems we will be using eclipse JAVA.

i was wondering what are some suggestions/advice folks here can give to someone who has zero experience in programming?

i am looking for a scope of what to do, what to expect, and any useful hints/tips. much appreciated. any and all resources are welcome.

I don't have any resources like "Intro to computer programming" but the following are pretty good tutorials for learning Java and then Eclipse:
