The kura version is 3.0 now ,but the example is still only work with 2.0 ,Why?

Why 3.0 version distribution? why not just use the version 2.0?

There are still many document errors .

Hi Li,

I am not sure being insulting will get you anywhere, or help get the problems you are mentioning getting fixed, unfortunately.
If you have particular issues you would like to report, it would be helpful if you could use the project's bug tracker for that: https://github.com/eclipse/kura/issues

Hi Li,
I'm sorry about your issues. About your questions, we have decided to move to Kura 3.0.0 due to the many changes, innovations and improvements we made for this last version.

Some of the improvements are (the full release note is available here:

    Eclipse Kura Wires
Eclipse Kura Drivers and Assets APIs and implementations
Improvements to local Web Console's usability and appearance
Added support for MQTT over Websockets
Added support for AWS IoT and Azure IoT platforms
Simple JSON is now a supported encoding option in Eclipse Kura Cloud Service
    Switched to Equinox 3.11.1
The configuration service will only track so called "Relevant services" so the ones that, in their component description files, will provide the ConfigurableComponent interface.

So, as you can see, it was a great improvement that required a major version change. Unfortunately, the drawback was related to a cutting out of old applications and examples.

I believe that, if you really want to test without issues the example done by Benjamin, you can easily use the previous version 2 release (it is still available here with all the development tools we provide) and then, when tested, try to develop your application for version 3 or decide to stick with version 2.

In any case, if you need some help, the forum or the development mailing list are open to provide support.
In case of issues found in the codebase, please refer (as correctly pointed out above by Benjamin) to the official Kura Github page.

Best regards,
Matteo
