I've been using Eclipse for a long time and I've spotted a feature that I want to use. To build projects so far I've been linking 3rd party libraries (library search path, libraries) and include paths/files for headers and building just fine.

Now I've looked at Paths and Symbols lately and want to try using that. Can someone tell me how? E.g. how to connect the P & S library to a new or old project.

I don't understand totally what the use of P & S over normal linking by Eclispe.

I think you should post to the CDT forum: this forum is for people developing RCP apps and plugins on the Eclipse Platform.
