Can't launch other processes from AUT [message #1766483]

I'm a total noob when it comes to Jubula. Just barely got it installed a couple days ago. I have a jar that serves as a process launcher for about 7 other processes, at least 4 of them other jars. Do I need to add them all into the my project as AUTS in order for them to be executed? Or is there some trick to do something like this. Sadly I'm viewing my processlauncher.jar as a blackbox so I'm not entirely sure what processes etc are being launched from it (I'm just guessing).

Any help is appreciated.

Hi John,

unfortunately, this is not possible at all. It would be difficult to handle several opened processes and UIs by a single application, therefore Jubula does not support it.

Interestingly, when I ran my processlauncher as a jar (instead of wrapped in an .exe) Jubula found them and added them into my "Running AUTs" window. I didn't really have a chance to explore them as I was having other issues with permissions on my system at the time. But I changed something because now when I run my processlauncher, it doesn't identify those processes in the Running AUT's anymore. Do you think this was an anomoly or glitch? Or was that intentional?

Dang...ok..need to read the documentation better. This is actually possible evidently. I was skimming through the docs when I found "Testing different AUTs in one test run" @ jubula/documentation/userManual/tasks/ch03s17s02.html#testing-aut-launched-by-other .

I will give it a try and report back.

Well I gave it a shot. It does work. I saw the other AUT's come into the Running Aut Window as "AUT_name"+1. So that works but unfortunately, for my project it's launching Parent->Child->Child processes and Jubula just isn't going down that far. It's more of an issue with my project being a mess than with Jubula. But thank you to whomever responded to this question. I appreciate the help.
