Diagram Navigation - across viewpoints defined in different plugins [message #1766447]

Hello all

In my tool, different viewpoints are defined in different plugins to promote modularity. Users install those required viewpoint plugins according to their usecase.
Is it possible to specify tool for view creation/navigation when the views are in different plugin. Right now I could not do that in Create view for obvious reasons.

Any help much appreciated.

Hi Arunkumar,

This is possible to do that. You should use the dynamic URI with format: viewponit:/plugin name/Viewpoint.
I attached you an example.

Hi Arun,

if you're looking for a way to activate a viewpoint programatically you can check out the external java action ActivateViewpoint that we developed for the graphical editors of the Palladio Simulator.

The viewpoint selection occurs in the method selectViewpoints in the class SiriusCustomUtil
