Hi,

How can I convert ecore to xmi?
I can rename it with .xmi and open it. but it doesn't really convert to xmi.

thanks for your reply.
To clarify, I want to have a metamodel as a model. in other words, I want to have a model that is same as its metamodel (with all references,..) and I want to add only values to its class attributes.
Is there any way to help me in this regard?

Hi

Sorry, what you ask makes no sense, Ecore is its own metamodel, but adding only values to class attributes. Beats me.

The general level of your questions suggests that you don't really understand what you are trying to do. I suggest you use Ecore and related tools in conventional ways before attempting what appear to be really odd things. I suspect that you will discover that what you thought you were trying to do is not what you really need to do.

Hi,
I am not actually understand your case. This may help you.
You can create a xmi for your model itself. Select the root node in your model.
Right click--> create dynamic instance then you will get xmi for your model.
