Hello,

Is there a way to disable the auto insert of closing html comments? Honestly, I am one of those who finds content assist confusing most of the time. For the mostpart I am delighted with Eclipse and the way it is setup now, this being an exception.

When I type <!-- eclipse is automatically inserting a space and then --> To turn it off, I opened Eclipse preferences, entered "assist" into the search bar and about a half dozen little trees came up.

Eclipse for PHP Developers
Version: Neon.3 Release (4.6.3)
Build id: 20170314-1500

Any assistance will be appreciated immensely.

Thank you.

For text inserted automatically as you're typing rather than calling on Content Assist, you want to filter on Typing preference pages for the one relevant to the language you're editing. This would be under automatically closing comments.
