How do I install e(fx)clipse 2.5.0? [message #1760113]

Hi community,

I am new to e(fx)clipse and I am having trouble finding current information about how to install the latest stable version (according to what I read is 2.5.0).

I think it would be a good idea to have a sticky post in this forum (if that is possible) describing how to install the latest stable version, and should be updated once a new version is released. Most likely that will mean just updating the software urls for the ide and the runtime, and new users will know exactly what to do.

I tried installing the nightly versions (3.0.0) and they do install. The problem is that the wizards seem to be broken. It is impossible to open the sample application and if I create a new e4 application it is mainly empty. I know from pictures from old tutorials that show version 2.0.0 that the wizards should create a functioning application that one could review and modify.

Anyway, I would not mind to work with the nightly version, but I need the wizards. Otherwise I would need the latest stable urls for both the ide and the runtime.

Yes latest stabel IDE tooling release is 2.4.0 - in what version of Eclipse did you try to install the nightly? Why does the prepackaged version does not work for you?
