Maven updating indexes never ends [message #1759699]

Hi guys,

I wanna introduce you my problem with downloading Maven's dependencies to Eclipse Neon 3. There are no dependencies in "Add dependency" section in Eclipse.
It's like, eclipse is having a "updating indexes : http://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2" status which stays forever and updates nothing. I made a research through the whole Internet I guess and still haven't found solution. Ticking enable/disable in Maven settings or deleting .m2 repository or .metainfo from workspace doesn't work either. Also I've added some lines to eclipse.ini "-clean etc." but still it doesn't work.

Certainly I have installed Maven plugin from Marketplace, same with spring ones etc.

My OS is: Ubuntu 16.04

I would appreciate any kind of help.

I do have the same issue with MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench Version: 2017 Stable 1.0 Build id: 15.0.0-20170329, please someone lend a hand.

How is this index updating disabled or force to work as expected?
