What does "I can do everything but run the program" mean? What exactly did you download, as in exactly what file?

I am wondering if you try to right-click on the built-binary and choose run as -> C/C++ application if it works.

It seems some of the autodiscovery of binaries in the project has stopped working, see bug https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=512822
