Hi,
I'm having some troubles setting the preferences in Eclipse Ganymede (actually, a customization of it by Tibco).
Recently, I have switched the SVN Client used by Eclipse from SVNKit to JavaHL, but this has caused Eclipse to get stuck on "Initializing Java Tooling (59%)" during the creation of a new workspace.
Now I have just noticed that, waiting over 1 hour, the initialization ends and I can switch to SVNKit again, and then everything works fine. However, this way I am just "fixing" the current workspace, so if I try to create another workspace, Eclipse sets the SVN Client to JavaHL again, thus getting stuck on the initializing step.
As a temporary workaround, I copy the "org.eclipse.core.runtime/.settings" folder of an already existing (and working) workspace into the new one, but I am wondering if there exists any procedure to definitively set the SVN Client to SVNKit, maybe by changing the content of some configuration file.
