This page: https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/all

lists your releases in no useful order. People relatively new to Eclipse will not be able to figure out that your releases are in alphabetical order if you don't list them that way. While I don't think using names rather than numbers adds enough whimsical value to make up for the confusion it causes most people, if you're going to use this scheme then please at least stick with it consistently. List all releases in an order that will easily inform the reader which ones are current, which ones are beta/ release candidates/etc.

The releases are actually listed there in order of most-recent-first. The release names are in reverse alphabetic order (Oxygen, Neon, Mars, Luna, etc). Within a single release name, such as Mars, they are listed again in order of latest to earliest. I think the build identifiers are pretty standard and well-known: R = Release, RC = Release Candidate, M=Milestone.

Having said all that, the fact that you were confused/frustrated enough to create an account and post here suggests that something can be done to improve that page. My suggestion is to add a Legend or Key to the page that explains the Release Train names (alphabetic) and the build labels (R, RC, M, etc). I've entered a bug about it here: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=511039
Feel free to add your own comments if you want.

Also, there has been a proposal to drop the code names for annual release trains, in favor of a year-based numbering scheme. See https://wiki.eclipse.org/EPP/Version_Proposal
