Hello,

we are migrating from KIELER to ELK (nightly build, not release 0.1.0) and i've tested different layout algorithms, but i couldn't find a Siguyama equivalence layout algorithm yet. Do i have to use MrTree or Layered with different layout configuration?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards
M.Emin

ELK Layered is based on Sugiyama's algorithm. Are you missing a particular property or feature in your layouts?

Thanks for your reply. I don't know if it's missing a property. We were using sugiyama layouter from ELK plugin with only LayoutOptions.SPACING = 15. Now i've tried MrTree and Layered Layouter the nodes are positioned without overlapping, but the edges are wildly distributed (overdrawn on nodes) and the edge labels are overlapping with the nodes and other edge labels.

Then there must be something wrong in your setup. Could you explain how you create the graph, apply the algorithms, and use their result?

Isn't that what this thread is about?

Yes, in this thread i've tried to split the problem in smaller parts in hope that it would bring me forward. Please check the other thread, i've attached the debug file there.
