Hello,

I downloaded Eclipse Neon for Mac OS and checked its fingerprint. It doesn't coincide with the ones informed on the website. I tried various mirrors just to obtain the same checksum:
openssl dgst -sha512 eclipse-inst-mac64.tar
SHA512(eclipse-inst-mac64.tar)= 882d74a07145a1f18ba2dc3fd9ec08c5d582171713d7397eb19be882f07befa23d952fd9042d81e2ce789f8a6e8950bfcf50b81cc3a150a38206b1c8ab486956

The site publishes this checksum:
beb4734ac80d006c65e326cb8bcc02888644b4c423fdaaaca19b4a4193f1407abf4b5a20229d6abb5bd5ab4880cdcdcbc1ff7180ce17f899382372743a0eef3d eclipse-inst-mac64.tar.gz

Could you confirm which is the correct checksum?

Thank you,
Veca

I already answered this on the Oomph forum where I pointed out that you seem to be computing the local checksum from the *.tar but the download checksum is for the *.gz.

Thanks, problem solved. The problem originates because Safari automatically unzips "safe" files. I changed that setting on Safari preferences and download the installer again. The checksums are correct.
Btw, I didn't mean to submit my questions at two forums at the same time. I sent my first message by error to Oomph and I was not able to read or delete my first message.
