Hi, I need a git client command line on OpenVMS in order to clone/push/pull from/to github. Unfortunately OpenVMS only supports java 5 and 6.

We updated minimum Java version to 7 in version 4.0 so you can use JGit command line 3.7.1 or older.

Find old versions here
https://wiki.eclipse.org/EGit/FAQ#Where_can_I_find_older_releases_of_EGit.3F

3.6.2 or newer are also deployed to Maven central
