Hi everyone,

I'm using EMF Compare to compute differences between two models.
However, my installed EMF Compare always shows "Computing Model Differences" error (see the attached figure) whenever I compare two different models.

The comparison then does not show any differences.

I'm using EMF Compare 3.1.

Can anyone tell me what's going on and how to resolve this frustrating error?

Thanks and best regards,

Cam,

Hi Cam,

how did you start the comparison? Can you share your models that lead to this error or reproduce the error with small example models?

If yes, it'd be great if you could open a bug report. I've never seen this error before.

Thanks and best wishes,

Philip

Hi,

This seems like a version compatibility error. Could you open the error log (Window > Show View > Error Log) and copy paste the error stack trace from there?

If possible, please also open the "Help > Installation details" dialog, go to the "plug-ins" tab, type "compare" as the filter and attach a screen shot of the result here.
