What is ASN-CSE and ADN-CSE? [message #1742851]

Hi all,

When I read some documentation of oneM2M standard, I found that beside IN-CSE and MN-CSE, there are other CSE called ASN-CSE and ADN-CSE.

The ADN-CSE I found in the Technical Report TR-0025 V1.0.0 : Application Developer Guide of oneM2M. Figure below:

And the ASN-CSE I found inside of the OM2M implementation.

Can anyone explain me what are they? and what are they used for?

Hello,

Typically the difference between ASN/ADN and MN nodes consists in the possibility to register another node to the node. MN are intermediary nodes and nodes such as ASN and ADN can register to this kind of nodes. Moreover, you cannot register a node to an ASN or an ADN, they are final nodes.

The difference between ASN and ADN is that ASN hosts a CSE and ADN does not. ADN is mainly composed of an AE registered to another CSE on another node.
