In my metamodel, the name is of String type.

I always see the "IllegalArgumentException" in the task bar, when I am in the property value box. I cannot name my objects at all.

I had same problem with the "ID" property, but then I changed the "ID-type" from String to Integer. Then it worked.

I do not know why I have this problem.

Please see the attached image.

Help me. Confused

which datatype did you pick for the "name"' property exactly ? You should probably pick EString (and not "String") or EInteger (and not "Integer") which are supposed to be in the proposals. news and articles on eclipse and eclipse modeling.
