Dear all,

I would have a question.
Assuming I partition a model to create 2 submodels using the "Create SubModel" menu of Papyrus and I have already a gendoc file for the whole model.
1) would the exisitng gendoc continue to work with the model partionned in submodels?
2) can I change my gendoc file to create one gendoc file per submodel?

Best regards,

Marc

Hello Marc,

You have both possibilities :
- either you have a gendoc template that is applied on the whole model. In this case, you reference the parent model in the gendoc <context> tag.
Submodels are loaded according to your Papyrus model loading preferences (defined in Window > Preferences > Papyrus > Model loading)

- either you launch your template on a submodel : you reference the submodel in the gendoc <context> tag.
In this case, the content of the template may need to be updated to start with the submodel root element instead of the parent model root element.

Best regards,
Anne

Hi Anne,

Thanks. I am glad both options are possible. I would need to give it a try.

Best regards,

Marc
