Hi all,

I am developing IoT solution and now i want that to be OM2M std.
Before that I want some clarification,

1) what is the difference between OM2M and ONEM2M.
2)If i have a Temperature Sensor and want to do OM2M implementation on board and gateway, how can i proceed.
3)Which industry/domain are using OM2M for their product.

Thank you Smile

Hi,

1) OM2M is not a standard, it is an implementation of the oneM2M standard.
2) You should run an IN (Infrastructure Node) as the "root" of your system. Then run an MN (Middle Node) which is going to register to the IN previously created. And after that, you will have to register your Temperature Sensor to this MN as a new AE (Application Entity). In order to communicate to between your sensor and OM2M you have to create an IPE (Interworking Proxy application Entity) such as described in this tutorial : https://wiki.eclipse.org/OM2M/one/Developer
3) I can't answer that, sorry

Best regards,
Dorian Smile

Ok Smile

Oh, and maybe this page can answer your third question : https://wiki.eclipse.org/OM2M/Community. I don't know if it is exhaustive but it can give you an idea.

Dear soumya patra,

I am very new in OM2M, I am doing the same like you. I have connected Temperature sensor and current sensor with Arduino and sending the measurement data to local server as MQTT messages. could you tell me what you did after this how did you connected your sensor with OM2M ?

Thank you..!!

Dear all,

I am also working on an om2m project and would like to know how can sensor nodes be connected to the IoT gateway (om2m). I know Dorian shared a useful link which uses plugins (thank you), but is there any other resource which can be helpful?

thanks
