I'm assuming you're running Eclipse on Linux. I've not seen this problem
on Windows. In my experience, there are two answers to this and
sometimes, in the past, I've needed both.
First, you might investigate a different appearance scheme for whatever
windowing you're using on your desktop. Clearlooks was a good choice for
me years ago. As I moved a few years ago to Linux Mint, this hasn't been
an issue.
Second, go to Help -> Eclipse Marketplace, search for Eclipse Color
Theme and install it. Pick a scheme and see if this doesn't improve the
problem.
