Hello,

my question is completly UI related. I currently have the Problem that I have to find some EClasses in a really big ecore model (> 30MB). Of course, I can easily find the element in the text file, but in order to navigate and analyze, finding the elements in one of the numerous (tree-based) editors would be important, e.g. the "Sample Ecore Model Editor" or the "Sample Reflective Ecore Model Editor".

However, I have not been able to find any search facility.

Can you recommend a (tree-based) editor for my task, which provides search functionality? Or do you have any trick? Is this an already identified area of improvement for future?

Thanks!

Kirsten,

No, there's no search facility for tree-based editors for Ecore (that I
know of). In Oomph we implemented generalized EMF-based search for the
Setup Editor. In fact we implemented a bunch of cool EMF utilities in
Oomph that are very general, but there are no immediate plans to port
this back to EMF itself...
