I have been trying to find a way for eclipse to download faster than it is right now. I turned off my firewall and it helped a little. Also it says failed network error. If you have any other solution or problems please reply!

Chris,

There appears to be a problem with Eclipse.org not generating a full
list of mirrors from which to download. When you download, from which
mirror are you downloading from? When you choose "Select Another
Mirror", is the list empty? When I try this right now it's picking a
mirror in Canada (and I'm in Berlin Germany), and the list of other
mirrors is empty. I know that downloading anything from North America
will be very slow for me.

Hopefully that problem will be fixed today.

Even the installer is working poorly to install Neon because this URL

https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?format=xml&file=/releases/neon/201606221000&countryCode=us&timeZone=1&format=xml

returns an empty mirrors list. So everyone using the installer to
install Neon is hammering the main download server.

Hopefully that's fixed soon...
