I recently upgraded my Eclipse to be based off Neon, with the new Eclipse Web Tools, and I'm having problems with the JSON editor.

I have a lot of JSON data files we use in our test frameworks. These aren't strict JSON - in particular, we use comments a lot, and accept property names that aren't quoted. The JSON engine we use in our tests (Jackson) is configured to tolerate these loose restrictions.

However, the Eclipse JSON editor is flagging them all as problems. And there doesn't appear to be a way to configure it.

Is there any way to configure the JSON editor to ignore these comment and unquoted fields? Failing that, is there a way to keep the JSON editor but not keep the syntax check?
