JSDT 2.0 official neon release seem to have some problems [message #1735836] Thu, 23 June 2016 07:55 Go to next message

I've just installed eclipse neon with jSDT
I've stated it with a new workspace.
I've created a simple javascript project, and I've added a single file to it.
I've wrote a simple test with a function and some variables.

When I try to invoke "Open declaration" on variables or function eclipse says:
"Current text selection does not resolve to a JavaScript element"

I've expected (as in the eclipse mars) that functions and variables are navigable.

Also the syntax highlighting is not working well:
Not all elements are coloured as configured, and if the editor is opened and closed, all source code are not coloured.

Have anyone experienced the same?

It seems that JSDT for Neon release is going backwards, look at this blog

My option is to stick to Mars, at least for a while. Sad
