Why is DSML included in Papyrus Neon by default? [message #1735162] Thu, 16 June 2016 03:42 Go to next message

I was really pleased that Neon release followed my recommendation to remove SysML from the default install and the menus (relevant thread here: https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php?t=msg&th=1070853&goto=1710145&#msg_1710145

However today I fired up Neon and now there is a menu to create DSML (BMM) project. So it looks like we just substituted SysML with DSML.

I think the strength of Papyrus is to be a 100% UML 2.5 compliant tool, no less and (equally important) no more.

I suggest to have all defaults (including module install) to just UML and then users that want to add SysML, DSML or other "ML"s can add modules as they wish. Just my 2c.

Hi,

You shouldn't have any DSML when installing Papyrus Neon.
What steps did you followed to install your product?
I don't have BMM in my installation.
