Hi CDO community,

I am working with the CDO integration with papyrus. I am using a PostgreSQL server for the data base. I am using profiles. Profiles are declared on the CDO Client (through extension points). I am wondering if I could declare it on CDO Server and how?

Best regards,
Xavier

Unfortunately I'm totally unexperienced with UML profiles. Maybe Thorsten (cc'ed) can share his experience with the
SysML profile...

Cheers

Hi,

If it's a statically-generated profile, then it is deployed and
"registered" just as any Ecore package would be. The only difference
is the additional org.eclipse.uml2.uml.generated_package extension.

If it's a dynamic profile, then things get more dicey and I would have
to defer to Thorsten's experience. But I would recommend generating
the profile if it is under your control.

HTH,

Christian

I can only repeat Christians answer. We are only using static profiles and that works like a charm.

Regards,
Thorsten
