hi there,

in windows it is possible to configure a dpi scaling of 100, 125 or 150 %.
Is it possible to use Jubula to test if there are all UI elements visible. i think the check of existence wouldn't work if a label gets cut or a text doesn't fit in the textbox you typed cause it exists anyway...
and i'm not sure if the check text action would recognize that....

Best Regards
Dominik

Hi Dominik,

Jubula doesn't have a specific check for visibility, but you might be able to use "check property" and check the visibility property on components. I'm not sure though, whether the visibility of a component is true or false if not all of the component is visible.
Jubula also tends to scroll to components, so the check might result in scrolling so that the component is visible.

Hope that helps,
Alex

hmm ok thanks Alex for your answer. i already thought that it would be like that but i had the hope that there is something i wasn't thinking about. So i have to think of another solution.

May i ask you if you have a progress to check your UI in different DPI settings or do you test this at all?

We don't currently do DPI settings tests - if we did, I doubt that they would be automated. I know there are image comparison tools available, but trying to "train" them to recognise what is an ok difference and what isn't could be tricky I'd imagine.
