Setup:
viatra 1.2 from release repo
(no xcore integration found)
added example repo

Eclipse Configuration:
Toggle Spoiler

Problem:
I tried to execute the demo.
I could not get headless demo running.
library.xvql in project library.domain.base does not generate code.
viatra-derived -> A generic type in this context must refer to a classifier or a type parameter

All the references to old versions in the documentation are confusing me.

My long term plan is to develop a visual language to define generic rules for a model.

Hi Sven,

first of all, thanks for trying out VIATRA.

Which "demo" are you trying to execute? We recommend using the tutorial: http://static.incquerylabs.com/projects/viatra/viatra-docs/ViatraDocs.html

We do not ship the Xcore integration in 1.2.0, if you need it for some reason, I can describe how to get it up and running from source.

For the headless example, check out the wiki page: https://wiki.eclipse.org/VIATRA/Query/UserDocumentation/HeadlessExecution

Can you give us an example for the "references to old versions"?

As you can see from https://wiki.eclipse.org/VIATRA/History VIATRA has a long history and we try to make documentation accessible for earlier versions. However, we welcome suggestions on how to do this better.

Cheers
