Hey guys, I'm pretty new to C++ and the Eclipse environment, so I wanted to know whether we need a JRE to run the Eclipse Helios C++ IDE debugger. Thanks Smile

Yes you do Smile

If you are new to it, can I strongly suggest you start with a new Eclipse Version, like Eclipse Mars https://www.eclipse.org/downloads/

You can also look over the getting started documentation and post follow ups if you are getting into trouble: http://help.eclipse.org/mars/topic/org.eclipse.cdt.doc.user/concepts/cdt_c_before_you_begin.htm
