I see there are a lot of changes generated based on my changes in xtend files. Should contents of xtend-gen be included in .gitignore file.

there are guys that check in the generated source, there are guys that dont. so it is your decision

In general, I prefer to not check in any generated sources. But this requires that you proper set up a build process that compiles Xtend in your (hopefully existing) headless build.

Indeed I have a concrete project where we do check in the generated Java code, but we ignore the *.xtendbin and *._trace files.

As Christian says, it depends, but I have a clear favorite.
