Unable to install Eclipse, keeps referring me to install Oracle Java (which I tried to do). Every time I go through the install Java process, I try to go back to install Eclipse and it still keeps reverting back to the install Java Oracle mirror 1.8.0 page. I am accepting
Licenses and selecting 64 bit mirrors etc. I am trying to install this for school, any help would be greatly appreciated! I am running Windows 10 64 bit. Thanks! (Can email me at tjp10003@gmail.com)

Which installer file or download file are you using? Are you saying already have a Java 1.8 JRE or JDK installed?

Yes I tried to install multiple times, but even after installing JDK I still cannot install Eclipse. Thanks for your response.

I am using the x64 link on the top row of the Eclipse download mirrors.

What exactly happened when you tried to install Java?

What do the following console commands report:

java -version
javac -version

It says that I have unzipped the file and I see two folders in the Java folder. When clicking the download for Eclipse IDE it reverts back to the install Java page. I have tried this via Chrome and ie10. I am at work, though I can post descriptions and screenshots when I'm home tonight. Thanks for the response.

Did you download

jdk-8u72-windows-x64.exe

from the Oracle download page?

It is an installer executable, no separate unzipping here.
You can reach the download page by Googling 'oracle java download'.

Actually played around with some firewall settings and did a reinstall from a different browser. Got everything to work this time (fingers crossed). I truly appreciate all of your efforts, everyone. Thank you kindly.
