After that Apple open sourced the SWIFT programming language(swift.org) I was wondering if the Eclipse foundation has any plan to develop a kind of SDT (Swift Development Toolkit) to allow developers to develop SWIFT application inside Eclipse on a multi platform environment .

Is there any plan to support Apple Swift by the Eclipse Foundation ?

Since SWIFT seems very promising even in the backend area, Eclipse could be the perfect IDE to develop with it ...

I don't know if anyone has discussed or planned a Swift product or plug-ins for Eclipse, but you should know that the Eclipse Foundation does not itself (usually) spawn or direct projects. New projects are proposed by the community, with a group of people who are willing to contribute code and support for such projects. The Foundation is a governing/legal body, not a project staffing or management organization.
So, if someone wants a Swift IDE based on Eclipse, that person should find other like-minded people and get to work on proposing such a thing.
