Hi!

I'm completely new to this forum so I may be asking a weird question for this forum, if so let me know.

I'm using Eclipse for BMC Remedy Action Request System development. BMC uses eclipse as a "framework/base" for their development tool.

There seems to be a set of visual effects in Eclipse, e.g when resizing a window by double clicking on the tab or when listing a set of objects, so that the resizing or listing is smooth. The window grows to the new size and the object list displays objects "incrementally" like if they glide into the window.

This is very annoying and meaningless for this kind of tool. Is there a way to turn this effects off?

Eclipse Graphical Editing Framework Draw2d
Version 3.10.0.201506010206

EMF Common UI
Version 2.10.0.v20150601-0402

Regards,

Fernando

Open the Preferences (under the Window menu on MS Windows in a standard Eclipse product, although BMC's tool might change that) and navigate to General > Appearance where you'll find a checkbox labeled Enable animations.

Hi!

Thanks for answering!

As you suspected that alternative is not available, BMC probably disabled it.

Is there a configuration file or a registry setting where this can be changed?

Regards,

Fernando
