The Eclipse Foundation is seeking an Intermediate Web/PHP developer to create and maintain custom in-house applications. You will be part of a small, dynamic team focused on providing solutions that are fast, scalable, secure and easy-to-use.
- Assist in creation and capture of technical requirements;
- Develop, document, deploy, and maintain applications and custom modules in Drupal 7+,using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, LAMP (PHP, MySQL);
- Develop, document, deploy, and maintain client-server applications using Drupal, PHP and REST;
- Understand and analyze traffic logs and maintain graphs and charts using Splunk;
- Manage site launches, redesigns, enhancements, upgrades and maintenance; and
-Work in with a dynamic deployment environment with redundant servers.

Work Experience
- Two years' experience with PHP or Drupal development (including Drupal 7);
- One year of experience developing Java applications.
Job Skills and Requirements
- Excellent communication and time management skills;
- Ability to work unsupervised;
- Understands possible web application vulnerabilities and is able to write secure code;
- Ability to modify Drupal themes and modules (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery);
- Responsive design and cross browser compatibility/testing;
- Experience writing applications with PHP/MySQL;
- Knowledge of Test Driven Development with Junit or other testing frameworks;
- Experience with release engineering/software deployment;
- Use Git for source code version control;
- Provide backup support for related positions as needed.
Knowledge and experience with Eclipse-based IDEs, as well as the Splunk software, are assets.
Education Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
