Normal to Lose Plugins on Upgrade [message #1713276] Mon, 02 November 2015 17:53 Go to next message

Hi,

I have deployed Hudson 3.3.1 on my Glassfish 3.1.2.2 server. Previously, we were running Hudson 3.0.0.

Is it normal that a number of plugins are not installed on the new Hudson? For example, we had Sonar installed but now it is not listed in the installed plugins list. Are we expected to reinstall every plugin manually when we upgrade Hudson?

Thanks

No, that should not happen. If you are upgrading from 3.0.0, the initial setup page should give you option to upgrade all the plugins that are needed for platform upgrade to Hudson 3.3.1. Did you install all the plugin upgrades via initial setup page? Also check Glassfish log to see if any errors are reported.

BTW, we recently released Hudson 3.3.2. We would recommend to upgrade to 3.3.2, since it fixes a critical security issue.

Hi,

I don't recall seeing an initial setup page when I first upgraded. I reverted my system back to pre 3.3.1 install and tried again and this time did see the page and was able to update successfully. I also updated to 3.3.2.

Thanks!
