Hi,

Word reports an error when I open my generated word document (attached), indicating it can't open it because a problem was found with the contents.

The details (also in attached screen capture) are:
Ambiguous cell mapping encountered. Possible missing paragraph element. <p> elements are required before any </tc>/
Location: Part: /word/document.xml, Line 1, Column: 0
index.php/fa/23427/0/

If I let Windows repair the file, then the contents looks ok.

Any idea what might be wrong?

Hello did you try to use clean() method in your template (to use on Strings) ?
This method transform incorrect character which can cause your problems

The error is not quite obvious but it means that you have empty cells in your table (not empty in the meaning of a normal user but in MS Word mind Wink)

I think the gendoc drop is too violent in tables can you please remove the drops in the second column of your word table (page 3) .

If it works can you please open a bug with your templates and a sample model attached ?

Thanks, great analyis!!

I removed the 2 <drop/> statements in the second column of the table and the document is generated without errors.
