I am a newcomer. How to connect elements in a deployment diagram with the uml communication path?

Looks like it's been fixed via Bug 361106 , but I just updated Papyrus and it shows the same problem! Cannot draw a Link between Nodes. HELP!

At least in Eclipse Mars .1 / Papyrus 1.1.2, this is fixed. I just checked.

Mars.1 / Papyrus 1.1.2 should indeed fix the issue. It has been officially released on October 2nd

I reported this problem 4 years ago in https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=349324 which is still open.
Bug 361106 appears to be a duplicate or at least it is very similar.
