[EMF Viewmodel] No update for EnableRule [message #1708080]

Hey,

i have a small question regarding EMF Viewmodels with EnableRules.

The EnableRule itself works fine, but if i have a boolean variable for example which is used for the EnableRule and i change the variable while the view is open then the view does not get updated thus the part of the view is not changed to enabled (or the other way around).
Do i really have to close and reopen the view to update the EnableRule or is there another way? A notification for example?

Hi Tobias,

no, of course the enablement should work without reopening. Could you
create a minimal example to reproduce this and report it as a Bug?

Hey Jonas,

i am really sorry.. I tried some stuff and it looks like the update with the EnableRule works fine. The problem is the boolean variable which is used for the EnableRule.
Its state is derived with the help of an OCL statement and i probably have to add a notification like mentioned here: https://wiki.eclipse.org/EMF/Recipes#Recipe:_Derived_Attribute_Notifier
