Dear Eclipse Community people,

I just downloaded the Eclipse program for Java in my Macbook Pro with a system of OS X Yosemite (version 10.10.5). I downloaded it successfully but I am not sure how can I open the Eclipse program for the coding. I see that the zipped file was converted to the Eclipse icon when I installed that file, but I am not sure if that icon is one to open the Eclipse program for Java coding in my Mac as that icon directed me to the installation process once again. Am I supposed to open Eclipse program in my Terminal? If so, what instruction should I write in the Terminal to open the Eclipse program? If not, how should I open the Eclipse?

Sincerely,

PK

There are lots of options available to download on the Eclipse Downloads page; what, specifically did you download?
