This is not an Eclipse question, but a 'forum' usage question. I apologize if it does not belong here, but I did not see a proper place to submit the question.

I would like to find a list of past discussions that I have had in the Eclipse forums. On other forums this is pretty easy to do because there is a button "My previous posts". I don't see one here.

The 2nd likely why to find them is to do a 'Search'. But when I do a search based on a user's name, nothing is found. It looks like searches are done on the message and subject only. For example, when I looked at the newcomers forum today, there was a post submitted by "Marco Cadei", but when I searched on "Cadie", nothing was found.

Is there a way to find posts from a named user?

This is the right place for this question.

I think the answer is that there is no such mechanism. The forum uses a
news server plus the web posting (don't understand the relationship myself).

I find that simply Googling will usually recall the post, however, I
understand that if you're looking for a specific post you were involved
in, that's harder.

If you remember the subject, Google for that and add your name (as it
appears in the forum posts.

This is the best advice I can give; someone brighter will be along in
the new week.

Jim,
Try this link: https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/sp/202423/
For me, that shows all messages from your account (202423 is your account's user key, by the way). But since I'm a moderator, I'm not certain that link will work for you (moderators have special privileges in FUDForum that ordinary users may not have access to).

You should be able to navigate to a list of your own posts by clicking the Control Panel link that appears near the top of every page, then click Show Own Posts (also near the top-right when on the Control Panel page).
